Jennifer Whiteside, ALC, NCC

Under the supervision of Amy Moor LPC-S

Grief, change, and the challenges of life can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to navigate them alone. I’m Jennifer, a mental health counselor, wife, and mother of two. Originally from the West Coast, I now call Alabama home. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Alabama and am an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC).

I am passionate about supporting those facing grief and loss, helping teens navigate the ups and downs of adolescence, and walking alongside women as they reclaim their sense of self. I also have experience working alongside parents of neurodivergent children, providing a space to process, heal, and grow. My approach is client-centered and integrative, drawing from CBT, DBT, feminist therapy, and expressive arts therapy—including sand tray work—to foster self-expression, healing, and empowerment.

With experience in community mental health and nonprofit settings, I create a compassionate, affirming space where you can show up as you are. I’m also pursuing a Certificate in Advanced Grief Therapy to deepen my work in supporting those navigating loss.

Therapy is a place to be seen, to heal, and to rediscover your strength. I’d be honored to walk this journey with you.
